It was an intresting time indeed but all went well. From what I was told we were the first company to work with scribe to import SF into MS CRM. We had to use a program called Scribe(Not Cheap!) to import our SF data into MS CRM.This was the only tool around at the time. Go to Tools [ select Letters and Mailings [ and select the Show Mail Merge Toolbar option.

Open Word and display the Mail Merge Toolbar.

Export this report to Excel, and save it as a csv file

Run the Mailing list report in Salesforce that you want to use as the data source for your mailing labels in MS Word 2003.

For your reference, if you do a trial here is the instructions for a mailing list. We dropped CRM 4.0 for it and it actually organized our business beyond what we intended.
